Professor Rory Rebmann

Professor Rory Rebmann began his jujitsu training in 1959 under Professor Ray Law in Oakland, California. In 1964 Professor Rebmann was promoted to the rank of shodan. He currently holds the rank of judan or 10th degree black belt in jujitsu and the rank of rokudan or 6th degree black belt in judo. In addition to his jujitsu training, Professor Rebmann has trained in Shotokan Karate, Kodokan Judo, and Bushido Jujitsu.

Professor Rebmann is a nationally certified judo instructor, coach, and examiner. He is a member of the Pacific Jujitsu Alliance and Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai. He is the recipient of the 2000 Danzan Ryu Heritage Award, the 2001 Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai Instructor of the Year Award, and the 2013 Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai James L. DeHaven Larger than Life Award.

In 2010, Professor Rory was inducted into the Danzan Ryu Hall of Fame.
